You need to use Arduino to compile and upload it.

I downloaded Arduino and put the 2.74 files in the sketch folder and after that I compiled it and uploaded it to my APM2.5 card If I look at the terminal window i can see its present as 2.74 beta so the upload have worked. But I cant get the GPS to work after uploading. The blue led blink on the UBlox card but no blue light and no gps readings at the Mission planner. I have tried to upload and compile on two different computer both with win7 64 and ordinary XP with same result. If i download the 2.73 and compile it its the same. But if I upload the 2.73 that is in the mission planner the gps is start to work. Is there something I shall do with the files before I compile them
Best Regards Anders

Yes, you probably need to change a #define to compile for APM2, it compiles for APM1 by default. That might be the problem.
Honestly, I'm not sure you should be working with these Betas. You could get yourself into trouble. That beta that is in that zip is already not the latest. If you aren't on the dev list, there is a lot of info you might be missing out on, like critical bugs in a beta.

That was the problem. I think your right about using the beta files I try to learn little and looking around and read alot. Right now my biggest problem with the 2.73 is that the engine is erratic in flying even if I just let it hover in stabilty for now reason one engine can give a burst and make the quad not as stabile as I want.
But I must say all you developer make a very great job out there thanks for that
Best regards Anders
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.110 members
