3DR Quad kit or RTF

Hello

I am going to be purchasing a 3DR Quad, my question is simple. Will I save money buying the RTF or buying the kit and separately getting the rest? My problem with the RTF is I like to build kits and the RTF comes built. I have been fling Heli's for a couple of years and I always buy plain kits and buy the electronic separately. The only thing that scare me is I don't know all the electronics I would need to for a Quad. I already own a DX8. I have a charger and plenty of Lipos.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Building a Quad, Hex or Octo, you'll need ESCs, motors, frame, radio receiver (min 5 channel, recommend 8 channel), power distribution board (PDB), flight computer (APM, PX4, PIXHawk or some other flight computer). Optional items would be GPS, Telemetry, camera gimbal, or Frist Peraon Video (FPV). I'd recommend the GPS and telemetry.
Check out the online wiki manual. It's pretty well written. I'd recommend reading it twice. It explains all you need to know to get started.
    Good luck and fly safe.
