3DR Radio configuration problem

OK the radio plugged into the USB port and the radio connected to the APM are both showing solid green LED's. I guess that means they have discovered each other. I have the baud rate set to 57600 in the MP software. Problem is I get the, "Failed to enter command mode" message, when I click the "Load Settings" button in the 3DR Radio configuration menu. What do I do to fix this problem? I see others are having similar issues - is this setup not yet ready for prime time?

Uploaded the driver, installed it. Configured the correct port with the correct baud rate. Radios are working - problem solved.

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
