gimbal servo
where can i find a servo that responds to velocity input, rather than position? i'm going to use it in a gimbal that wont be used for piloting the aircraft, so i don't need/want the camera to return to center every time i let go of the stick. would a sailboat winch servo work?

A 360 servo popular with the RC aerial photography community is http://lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx?productID=429&CategoryID= The more you move the stick, the faster it goes, center is stop. Usually coupled with http://www.lynxmotion.com/Product.aspx?productID=332&CategoryID=75 with belts and larger pulleys from http://www.sdp-si.com/
Some use different gear ratios with gears from http://servocity.com/html/gears___sprockets.html
