Hi Micheal
you also involved in this project?
What i meant with"RC purpose" was from aeronamical point of view ,the difference between T tail and normal tail is minor on this scale and was"decided" against because the work involved measured up against abvatages got from it wasnt worth it .
But from duribilty point of few it makes sence... My personal opnion on the matter however is that leave it as is and build servos into surface area and make sure they tuck in away from rough landings.
I must ask homever did yo say 500$? If thats the case then we targetting 2 different markets, my plan would be to deliver same product but at 200$ price mark...

Looking forward to that photo's

Chris,

It's been some time since I have thought to check your site and I am pleased to see how much you have accomplished.  Since the introduction of the Nitroplanes Predator, about two years ago, they have come out with a composite Reaper and just recently, a composit RQ-11 Raven.  With these options for basic airframes, now readily available, your group should have a blast up-fitting them with the latest and greatest technology.  Here are a few links;

We have made a cool kit for the Raven by Nitroplanes that allows for quick take down. $30 shipped.

See link. http://aerosight.com/Kits.html

We will be adding more goodies for it soon

Thanks guys!

Any other mods you want please tell me.

Dave,

Like arashi, I also have my paintball container and am looking forward to

seeing your retract camera concept.  Is this FUN or what???????????

Order a set of the extras the other day. Thanks!

I look forward to the v tail and other options. I already have the paintball container for the retracting camera when you publish the build.

I would love to see a couple of different, durable wing sets. I was thinking it would be neat to have different wings for different wind conditions.

Also, mine has the carbon/glass tail boom.  How did you cut those perfect servo holes in yours without shredding it?

Arashi,

Rolling along... yes I used the diamond type of cutting wheel for a Dremel tool. Use a 1" wheel and it will make the cut almost exact for your servo size. It wont shred if using a wheel to cut. Drill bits etc can be a stinker! After the cut, put some thin CA on the edges to dope it up and insure no fraying..

I have been digging into what it'd take to get us other wings.. I am going to mockup a slightly larger plane like this, maybe a hair wider, with more room for a wider wing etc..

And guys by the way.

I do however have a problem...

When I advertised the kits I called them sets. My version of set is enough to do both wings. The CNC contractors version of a set was two ribs, only enough for one side of the wing! Soo, what this means is I personally have lost $30 per set because I had to pay $60 to get enough parts to complete each plane set sold! UGH!  And I offered free shipping and the button spring I'm including.

Additionally I found out that he isn't able to make the width of dihederal insert I needed and hoped for. Not a huge issue on that really. I personally use the ones supplied. I will be sending enough parts to do your plane because that's what I personally offered, and that's what you paid for as you expected it. Please pass on though, that I have raised the prices needless to say to $60 and is adjusted on my website.

If you can bear with me for a bit, I will try to figure out an alternative for the G10 Dihederal bar I expected to offer. When That's figured out I will send you all a set either with the next batch I sell or in time for the set we are making for you this week. For now you can use the one's in your kit..

As it stands, your kits when sent will consist of (4) G10 Wing Ribs, (1) G10 Motor mount and (1) Steel Button spring for the tail tube. You have the option of getting a refund at this time but as I said, others after you will now pay $60 for the same thing.. Will be worth the wait for you if you can..

ys,

Never mind!!!

Kits will still be $30 and will come with G10 wing ribs and motor plate, a spring steel button release. they don't come with the dihedral bar insert. you use the plywood one the Rq-11 came with..

Sorry for the confusion!

My website needs to be changed back to the $30 prices..

turns out we are a bit backordered and he didn't tell me right away.. Panic attack I tell ya! LOL
