      Downloaded this but there is no hex file in the zip. Am I doing something wrong here I wonder?

        I think that you can only use Arduino to load the older zip versions of the code, MP won't load these.

        Back to the old days of unzipping the the library files to the sketch folder, and then compliling with Arduino.  :-(

          Really, 2.8.1 is only about 1.5 years old and it used to load with the APM planner. We have it on an APM 2, just wanted to test it on our new camera ship using a 2.6 APM as the INS version AC3.1.3 is too twitchy in loiter with wind.

          Interesting, I have asked Randy if he can shed any light on the matter as the uploading of the zip file was his baby it seems.

    Find and download the hex version of code that you want from here which will save in your downloads file or save to the desktop

    Then use the "load custom firmware" option on mission planner/install firmware page and navigate to your downloaded hex file, then press save and the hex file will load.

      Thanks Martin, I had already looked there, but couldn't find version 2.8. It seems that anything pre INS has disappeared! Hence the question for help.
