Altitude Problems in Mission Planner

The mission is attached below:

So I am trying to run a very short run on my 3DR X8 from Mission Planner and each time we enter autopilot, the UAV shoots into the sky and does not seem to stop. Our altitude is set at 15m.

Perhaps I am missing a place to input altitude, but I thought I had been doing everything correctly? Is there a possibility that there is a problem with the 3DR ground control radio?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe check your z-axis vibrations as that's a common cause of the shooting up. The Pixhawk/3.2.x firmware is very sensitive to z-axis vibrations.

    • What do you mean by z axis vibrations?

      • If I understand correctly z axis vibrations would be in the up/down direction and the acceptable range is between -5 and -15 when reviewed in your log.
