are you interested in doing a paid job for me?
Basically I need a data logger and camera controller made from an Ardu Pilot Mega board and ArduIMU+ V2. It's for ground operation only.
You would have to assemble the hardware, put it in a box, and then change the existing code a bit to run it all.
Harware is:
ArduIMU+ V2 (Flat)
Ardu Pilot Mega board
GPS receiver
SD-card shield
LDC display
Coding needed:
- Instead of saving data to the16MBits data logger chip, save to SD-card.
- Set Interval for saving the data. Thats what the LCD screen is for.
- Release camera the same moment. Close a contact electronically will do.
I have a lot more features to implement, but this would get me started.
Anyone interested?
I am based nearby Frankfurt am Main in Germany, but am willing to work with anyone anywhere.
You must have worked with Ardu Pilot Mega board and ArduIMU+ before.

Warum APM überhaupt?
Ich würde sowas nicht auf Hardwareebene festlegen. Ein Notebook <€300 kann das mit Standardzubehör viel flexibler. Und du findest mehr Leute die das proggen können/wollen.
Achja: Budget?

So far I am working with a separate GPS logger (and separate intervallometer) and do all the geotagging afterwards at home. I build four very different rigs so far and found out the hard way what works in the field an what does not.
Now I need a solution that works for hiking with the cameras mounted to a backpack. One does not even stop to take an image every e.g. 5 seconds. For this to work I need to know not only the position by GPS, but also the orientation in space to automatically level the resulting panorama when the camera rig is not absolutely vertical, which is the case almost all the time.
Another consideration is "ease of usage". A Laptop one needs to operate. I am looking for a simpler workflow: Switch on and off only. Then after recording remove the SD-cards from the APM and the cameras and mail them to the office for processing.
The Ardu Pilot Mega board with ArduIMU+ V2 sensors is a fascinating hardware that already has most of what I need. Also it is powerful enough to log additional inputs and do some controlling like releasing the cameras and log the same split-second.
I am not looking for the cheapest solution, but for something that has potential and reserves and can be adopted to various usage cases by adding different extra sensors like dead reckoning by a cars wheel impulse or another DR device made for walking. Etc.
I do have a budged, and this is not a one-off job.
I need a prototype first and then ike two devices per month assembled and most likely some coding to be done for additional features.
This could finance someones hobby.
How much does it take?

Out of curiosity: What "standard accessories for a notebook" does have 3 gyroscopes, 3 accelerometers and a GPS receiver?
