Yes, the APM1 ill be much better than any KK board.  Unless you have RC experience, the KK is not a good beginner board.  Flips can occur for many reasons.

Oh, also you're push the throttle way too hard.  Ease it high gently until it hovers, and then stop.  Don't try to fly so high on your first flight. About 1-2 meters off the ground is good enough.

Ok - so next project: Fit the APM on the Quad and re-test.

Hello Ellison !

Hello Everybody !

Lesson learnt - KKBoard is not for me. - Anyone needs two ? ;-)

I have now fitted the APM1 on the craft and i can really say it works. - Finally - the first flying copter.

Still got the octo to fix, but this is to follow soon then.

Here is the video - it's been my first flight overall, so i am not trained yet:

Good job.  Way to stick to it.  After a bit of quad flying, you'll have a better idea about getting the hex flying.
