I've done the tutorials on Xplane maker but I am still not good enough to attempt something beautiful. I know what I am looking for but would need someone to actually come over to my house, sit down with me and SHOW me how to design with Xplane maker.
I know it's a tall order for most, but I really want to learn it better than I could on my own. It is possible that my laptop can run it good enough that we could meet somewhere else and that would be fine too.
Just looking for someone that can teach me in the DFW area, I will travel for it.

a blended body in X-plane / PlaneMaker is mission impossible. There is no way the complexity of such a device could be modelled 'open-loop' successfully in PlaneMaker.
X-plane is a trap - it looks like it works, but you really have to know what X-plane and PlaneMaker are doing to get anything remotely useful.
XFLR5 is a much better starting point from my current perspective (and cheaper too!)
BTW, the 'beautiful' in X-plane and PlaneMaker are all done in other packages like Blender et al. They are merely window dressing and are nothing to do with the flight model.
I'm with Andrew, make it in XFLR
