Hello,

just received my first APM 2.5 today, i am having trouble getting the turnigy plush 30 amp speed controls to arm. I have gone through the manual esc calibration and tried to do the auto as well. Manual works but when i plug them back in to the amp2 they will not arm, just a steady beep every second. I have ready alot of other threads with this same problem and i have tried to power the board first and then plug in the battery and that did not work. I have  tried moving my throttle endpoints and recalibrating the radio and nothing has helped, is there a solution for this or do i have to buy some new speed controls?

I'm using the Turnigy Plush 40A ESC and it worked fine. I had already calibrated it with my radio before I bought the APM2.0. I just plugged it all in calibrated my radio in the Mission Planner and never gave it a second thought. In case it matters, I removed JP1 and powered both input and output rails with two separate 5A BECs. Only the signal wire from the ESC is connected to the output rail.

A steady beep every second is what the ESC does when it's not receiving a signal from the receiver. Have you confirmed that a servo works correctly when plugged in along side the ESC?

Thanks for the reply eddie, i plugged a servo into output 5 and it moves along with my throttle stick ( it is kind of notchy, and jumps to zero around 15% throttle ). I tried to do the auto calibration and the apm2 is outputting the signal correctly according to the servo but the speed controllers will not arm. I even tried powering the apm separately and arming the apm2 with the throttle stick before i plug in the battery and they still will not arm, but the servo shows the apm outputting signal. any ideas? thanks again fro the reply.

ok i just plugged the apm2 into my dji 30amp opto speed controls and they arm just fine.

I have the same issue, 1 out of 10 times my plush 30amp Turnigy ESC will arm.

I should get 3 short beeps then 1 long beep.

I sat at my fly spot and plugged it in and out many times. It's eventually worked. I have triple checked wiring.

All is normal. Today i will try another ESC and see what happens.

Managed stabilise. home and Loiter :-)

Very nice.

i probably tried it about 50 times and it never armed one of them. hopefully i will get my new dji opto esc's and dont have any problems.
