APM 2.6

I am having problems connecting the APM 2 program loaded on my PC to the APM on the quadcopter. The only way the APM will connect is if have a hard wired micro USB connect to the APM directly then I can get connected. The APM is obviously engaged as I can see the telemetry data and the compass/GPS is active.

Any guidance and assistance would be appreciated.

    Connection to the flight controller can only be done through micro usb or purchasing the 3DR telemetry radio system. Do you have this system connected to the flight controller? If not then your only option is hard wired.

      Thank you for the response , as you can probably ascertain I am a novice. I got the link sorted out now my issue is that I can't Arm the Quadcopter, I think it might be the failsafe parameters, not sure.
