One possibility is that your APM board is fried. Recently I accidentally had my wires connected incorrectly to my OSD board and it sent a 12v signal into the APM board through the telemetry cable. My APM board still lights up, but my computer no longer recognizes the APM board when I plug it into the computer. Something on the APM board burned out and prevents it from connecting to the computer.
Check your APM board and see if it has a burned smell to it.
