I am building a fully autonomous quad copter using an APM 2.6. I need to attach obstacle sensors, and I will use MB1240 XL-MaxSonar®-EZ4™ High Performance Ultrasonic Range Finder. But I am not quite sure if I can do that. If anyone had done something similar, I would appreciate any input.
I also want to map the course of the quad copter using either a RPLIDAR 360 Laser scanner or LIDAR obstacle sensors. Does APM have the capability/firmware to use either or. Any feedback or any other devices I may use for the purpose of this project.
