APM overheats then SHUTDOWN!

I have two APM, APM0 and APM1 boards and two Power modules. Everything was going fine, I didn't fly my drone yet. Because before i fly it i noticed that whenever I connect the battery all motor spin, I am using a joystick, didn't calibrate it correctly, and the APM0 I'm using heats a little.. One time I left it a little longer and it gave up life. Whenever I try to power it by the battery, using a module, with nothing extra connected it heats quickly and switches off. The res A LED switches on for the time the APM is on. side note: I flipped the board and found a tiny hole in the CH5 chip. What is strange is that when I connect the APM to computer only the power LED is on and nothing is working. I cannot connect to send anything to the APM0.

Now i got my APM1 out. I connected the battery, through the battery module, and what do you know!?! it doesn't power, no power at all. Tried to connect it to computer and open battery viewer and nothing of course. My battery is okay, it is powered, I connected it to my Li-Po charge and it gave no errors.

In the midst of all this, my GPS/Compass module's Ground wire was cut, while it was connected to APM0.

All Battery tests where tested by both modules.

So Now I have a practically dysfunction APM0. An APM1 which cannot be operated by power module, only a USB, including a phone charger, and a bunch of buzzing motors.

  • I just noticed the most Dumb thing: The GPS' ground was cut. But does that do any difference? And does that cause the APM to burn but not the GPS?

    • any help would be appreciated.
