does your pc have a virus?  comdlg32.dll is included with windows. so should never happen

I have Avast full protection. I should'nt have any virus. I will run a full scan now to make sure.

Nothing to do with a virus, it's a poorly worded error message. The DLL did not load, but not because it was not found, instead look at the next line, It says that comdlg32.dll failed to initialize, not that it can't find it:

"A dynamic link library initialization routine failed"

Error HRESULT 0x8007045a is a .NET error

See the part where it says: "If I change the target framework to 3.5 it works, back to 4.0 it doesn't."

 

Apparently this type of error is thrown by incompatible .NET versions. 

 

Any recent .NET changes?

Just before this happend, I updated MP to the 1.1.95  , then my pc couldnt find the USB drivers for the APM2. (first time ever) so I tryed re-installing the Net program to see if this works.

 I have just gone back to an earlyer restore point on the pc. Now I have the original problem back where the PC cannot find the usb driver for the apm2. It recognises the apm but I cannot connect it to mission planner.

 I have just upgraded to MP 1.96, but the problem still exists

Ok,

 I went into device manager......deleted the APM. Then plugged the APM2 into USB and the pc set it up properly this time. Everything working how is was before now. Thankyou everyone
