APM Planner and Mac OS X

Hello everybody. First of all, I'm a new member and I would like to thank you for this forum.

I'm am a new pixhawk user's after 2 years with DJI A2.

I think it should be interesting to open a discussion about Mac and APM Planner.

I'have a problem with the APM 2.0.15. The datalink doesn't work with this version. Everything was ok with the 2.0.14. When I try to connect the pixahwk, the clock turn and the app stop.

Do you have an idea ?

We do support for AP2 here http://ardupilot.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=82

I have one other reported problem similar to yours. The solution was to reinstall. You could try deleting the ~/.config/com.diydrones folder as that may fix the issue

    Hope that helps :-)
    • Hello Bill,

Thank you for your help. There is an evolution with the last issue : http://firmware.diydrones.com/Tools/APMPlanner/daily/2014-12-12/

Wire connexion is ok with usbmodem1 connexion but data link doesn't work anyway.

Do you have an idea ?

      thank again. Cedric

      • Dear Bill, I have one more question.

Is there a problem if I fly with last firmware 3.2 and APM PLANNER 2.0.14. ?

This configuration is working well. Thank. Cedric

you need 2.0.15 for AC3.2 on Pixhawk as it support dual compass calibration

I would try 2.0.15 not the daily builds as they are meant only to verify new changes (They normally are ok, but YMMV)

Did you delete the config file? Try selecting the go to folder option in Finder and type ~/.config you will see the com.diydrones folder then to delete

          • I have tried after the com.diydrones's deleting : same result. The AC3.2 is installed on pixhawk with wire and 2.0.15 APM. But when I try with the datalink, the app stop. I force it quit it.

So I have tried with 2.0.14 APM. Datalink is OK, but compas calibration failed before arming.

You will need to use 2.0.15 for AC3.2.

can you try and connect with 2.0.15 and then close, and send the log.txt file from ~/apmplanner2 folder (~ = your Home folder)

              Thx

              • Dear Bill,

Thank you four your help. I'm sorry about the long silence. You will find inclosed the last datalog.

In my case, one important information. I have changed the main PCA on my macbook pro. No result for the data link problem.

                Thank, Cédric.

              • Unable to connect on USB. Had to Force Quit APM Planner

Had the ~/.config dir cleaned before.

Attaching both the log.txt and the crash dump after the "Force Quit" command.
