Hello, friends!
I have a question about the ability to use APM Planner coupled with ArduStation for antenna tracking. Actually i want to try the new 3DR radios instead of XBEEs.
I tried different settings in "Antenna Tracker" options section in the APM Planner but nothing happens when i connect to ArduStation.
My ardustation has "Ardustation2_APM_ACM_2.0.13" firmware onboard.
APM Planner version 1.1.75 mav 0.9.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Permalink Reply by Chris Huitema on June 5, 2012 at 4:30am Ok, all re-flashed. ardustation comms are good, all data and parameters downloading ok.
whenever i go to connect with mission planner the ardustation resets. but something must be getting through because the data comes up on the HUD and the map goes to the right spot.
MP eventually times out and says "connect failed" timeout on read - getParamList 05

Permalink Reply by Chris Huitema on June 5, 2012 at 5:32am Still resets,
also resets when i connect the usb cable
If i click on the terminal in MP i see the data coming

Permalink Reply by Alex.CCCP on June 5, 2012 at 5:56am sounds very strange...
Have you tried lowering the baudrate a bit?
Permalink Reply by Alex.CCCP on June 5, 2012 at 5:57am or maybe there is some bug in 2.0.14 version.. my station still works on 2.0.13...
Permalink Reply by Alex.CCCP on June 5, 2012 at 6:20am Try downgrading baudrate to 38400
For Ardustation set '#define SERIAL_BAUD 38400' in the main file.
For ArduPlane set '#define SERIAL3_BAUD 38400' in the APM_Config.h file.
Also don't forget to configure XBees for 38400 via X-CTU.

just been looking through the ardustation code to try and get my head around it.
I do have another xbee set up and working, but i want to use a 900mhz panel antenna on the antenna tracker and have the data in MP.
Permalink Reply by Joachim on June 5, 2012 at 7:01am Hi! Nice things you are doing here.
If I want to use the Ardustation for Antennatracking only (with Missionplanner), i have to connect TX from 3DR module to the 2nd pin of XBee socket on Ardustation. Do not connect RX. Then it works for me.
I put RX (to 3nd pin of the XBee-Socket) on a switch and with closed switch (without Mission Planner/3DR-Radio on PC OFF!!) i can receive and change parameters. All without RESET (2.0.14 on Ardustation)
