APM2 Flight modes - ArduCopter

I have a problem I don't understand. I set FM 6 to RTL, it shows current mode as Stabilize. I have a PWM of 2006 which should trigger FM6 but when I switch it, it changes to stabilize not RTL. What am I doing wrong?

I'm guessing you are indoors just doing setup. You probably just need to take it outside. The modes that need gps can't be selected without a gps lock.

You are correct. I posted this over on ArduCopter and received a reply straighten me out. I was on USB in the house. I put on the xbee's and took the copter out, got GPS lock and all was well. Thank you for your response!

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
