This wiki page should give you an idea on what connecting where:
Basically, Same for APM2, OP1 is Left Servo, OP2, Right, etc.
And for the input, IP1 conects from your futaba's Aileron, IP2 from Elevator, etc.
By looking at your pictures, you seem to have gotten it correct.
Wy is the ESC conected direkt to the RX... going to use APM2 only to auto pilot ...?
what happens when lose signal from TX?
I believe it is a work in progress item.
As soon as I get my APM2 fixed, I'll take a crack at the code to make that happen.
Having the ESC connected direct to the ESC was originally a safety measure. But, I'm working on a fix for that. I've basically got it down, I just have to put it into the new code.
Did you set the Swash to H-1 from your radio?
I believe you need to choose 1-S for for mechanical mixing where each servo does one job (aileron for left/right, elevator for fore/aft, pitch for up/down), since APM needs to know exactly what you want for each channel instead of depending on your radio to do the mixing.
Wesley Chuen Thank you very much. Tried the setting you gave me work like a charm. H-1 = 1-S ON FATUBA T6EX RADIO Good to know.
I see its a lot of differens terms betveen FUTABA and jr/spektrum
that can make some missunderstandings,
In the FUTABA RADIO MANUAL they refer to SWASH AFR
adjustable function rate.. in the jr/spektrum world its call swash mix
Thats wHy I think it have been good with a manual to fatuba/APM2 or at least a spesial settings page.
Yes, unfortunately how to set up individual radios is probably a bit outside the scope of the wiki. There's some assumption that people are well aware of how their radios work before attempting to use the system. But, we can work to improve that if you have some recommendations. A big part of the problem is only have Futaba radios, so I only know how they work. And it seems like the Futaba radios have even changed over the years, mine is about 10 years old.
Yes u right and i am afraid when i put APM2 in the heli and have to adjust som of the more advansed settings for fine tuning I am going to get alot of problems ,because the difference between radios settings info. Some recommendations...vel I am very very new to this so I will need preity much all the info i can get :)
Maybe we can have a collection of youtube video showing how to set up different radios. Look at the first post, about 8 video down showing how to set up different radio for the Skookum unit. Very neat. http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=358016
Or just have a small section at the bottom of the wiki about setting up radio with just the pin out graphs or just a picture of the unit connected.
this is how i have connected mine with futaba 7C. Channel1-APM IN1;Channel2; APM IN2; Channel3 directly to ESC; Channel 4 APM-IN4; Channel6 APM-IN3; channel7 APM-IN5 (mode); channel5 APM-IN7 (gyro gain), works fine. set the travel limit of servoes through Mission Planner. wehn u set the end points of servos the green/grey bar should be between the red lines. bit tricky to setup.
Ravi Thanks for the reply
