ArduCopter DO_DIGICAM_CONTROL

Hi All,

I'm having difficulty finding instructions on how to trigger my camera at (or near) waypoints in my flight plan. I came across the "DO_DIGICAM_CONTROL" feature but it would appear that I have to add pseudo waypoints in my flight plan between waypoints in order to get this to work (at least that's what I have read somewhere on DIYDRONES).

Has anyone managed to get this to work with ArduCopter? I just want the drone to trigger the camera at or near the waypoints that I design. What would also be nice is if we could automatically generate the flight grid with photo commands and not just waypoint commands...

Thanks for the help in advance!

Cheers,

Oliver

  • I am using this command all the time and it works well.

But yes, you insert it where you want the picture taken ( or movie started) so you define a waypoint and then add a line after it with your DO_DIGICAM_CONTROL after it.

This allows a waypoint with a delay to stop the craft in a nice stable hover before initiating a CONTTROL.
