I am stuck. I have connected the board to my laptop before, I was able to move the board and watch the artificial horizon move with the board. Now I have installed everything on my TREX 600 and I went to plug it in and got this error:
can not establish connection
system.exception: no mavlink heartbeat packets were read from this port - verify baud rate and setup
it might also be waiting for gps lock
apm planner waits for 2 valid heartbeat packets before connecting at ardupilotmega.mavlink.open(boolean getparams) in ....
The gps is unplugged to avoid the lock step. any suggestions?
If you have arduino installed could you try connecting with Arduino's Serial monitor and see what's coming back from the APM?
We discovered that the the mounting screw was contacting the board and shorting the circuit
