Arducopter keeps spinning and drifting in a direction after lift off ! Please help

Hey Guys,

I just did my first flight test and my arducopter keeps spinning like crazy after lift off, also it moves in a particular direction. Could anyone please guide me ASAP, I have to get this thing stable within today cause I have a deadline for tomorrow to demonstrate my research project.

Thanks,

Kunal

Check your motors arnet twisted (ie they are flat in relation to ground) and the motors and props are all turning in the right direction.

Good luck

I did hav same problem. At the beginning with Arducopter I strongly recommend Mission Planner. Dont forget to Level at the end.

Main problems can be:

1) distribution board - correct motor signal cable conection - dont forget that some photos of distribution board are "up side down" there, so solder cables in right direction and assemble the distribution board "up side up" - this was my issue No1

2) distribution board - same forward orientation exactly as the APM board

3) right propeller rotation

4) ESC calibration

5) Arducopter "Level" in Mission Planner - see chapter: 5)

Good luck for the deadline!

@Davey and @ Petr : Thank you guys, I will do this and let you know what happened.

More suggestions are welcome.
