Hey guys,

I've got my ArduCopter dialed in pretty well in acro mode but I'm seeing one oddity. When I put in a fresh battery and begin flying it seems like the copter is much more sensitive to commands and the tendency to oscillate in level flight is much higher. It's almost to the point where I want to go tweaking PID values again, but as the battery begins to drain (long before it dies) the copter becomes much more stable.

Is this just the nature of the beast or am I missing something?

Thanks,
-Chri

can you post some more details on your setup?

motors/esc/propellers/size/weight/battery used

And also what software are you using for your ArduCopter due there are several softwares out there and they all are rather different.

Here's my specs:

Software:  Latest released .zip of ArduPirates NG

Motors:  AX-2210N 1000kV

ESC:  Hobbyking SS 25-30A

Props:  GWS 9x5 3-blade

Battery: Turnigy 2650 mAh

Weight:  approx. 900g w/battery

Ive noticed the same - but I just figured that when its a fresh battery, its also a fresh operator and im a little bit touchier on the sticks earlier on.
