All,

Which version of MAVLink does Arducopter v2.5.3 use?  I want to used it with the latest version of QGroundControl, but the latest version of QGroundControl used MAVLink v1.0 and I can't seem to get QGroundControl to connect to my APM with the new v2.5.3 release.  Can anyone advise as to which version of MAVLink Arducopter v2.5.3 uses and how to connect to it with QGroundControl?

ArduCopter 2.5.3/2.5.4 uses MAVLink 0.9. The next version of ArduCopter (2.6), which will be out in a couple weeks, uses MAVLink 1.0.

Thanks Chris for clearing this up for me!

What are the plans with the mission planner? Will it support both, or switching entirely?

I will likely match the path taken with the mission planner with copter-gcs.

Thanks,

Bart.

the mission planner is mavlink 1.0 ready (compile time option), but will be a switch to 1.0 when needed. I dont support both because there are structs that have been modified between the 2, also the wp packet structure and a few other things has changed.

I've been trying to build QGC with mavlink v0.9 on Linux (Fedora Core 16) and I have had nothing but problems.  It seems that the v0.9 branches of QGC and Mavlink are not actually using the same versions of the header files.

Has anyone had success at building QGC from source for v0.9 for Linux (in the past month or two)?

Hi,

Anybody knows why QGroundControl says MAVLINK VERSION 3 if uses 1 ?

Like this image:

In my computer says version 2.

We are waiting for arducopter 2.6...

Thanks!

lot.

I'm not sure why that would be.  You'll have to direct that question to one of the QGroundControl developers like James.
