ArduIMU+ magnetic heading

I'm having an issue with the magnetic heading coming from ArduIMU+ V3. Is it supposed to output close to 0 when you point the end opposite to the connector to north without any offsets? Currently I'm getting MGH reading around 145 on both units I've got here. No metal nearby, "stock" firmware with "stock" settings. Am I missing something?

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
