Hi, this is my first Hexacopter setup using open source Ardupilot systems. The reason because it is affordable and reliable (recommended by RC Supplier). Mission profile- fpv/aerial photography. The only thing it is not a plug and play system and i'm new to it. So need some guidance and help fr a specialist.

Components:

Ardupilot Mega 1280

Ardupilot IMU OilPan Shield

Mediatek GPS sensor - Position Hold

HMC6352 Digital Compass - Orientation Hold

LV Maxsonar EZ4 - Low Alt Hold

XBee Pro Antennas + Adapters

Platform:

Hexacopter - x 6 units of 1050 Scorpion BL Motors

Pins Channel &  Motor Rotation Dir:

0-1 CW (LEFT BOTTOM)

1-2 CCW (LEFT TOP)

2-3 CW (RIGHT BOTTOM)

3-4 CCW (RIGHT TOP)

4-5  & 5-6 IS FOR CAMERA SERVOS

6-7 CW (FRONT)

7-8 CCW (BACK)

Rx Tx: Hitec Optima 9 & Hitec Aurora 9

Already assembled all the components and tested the GPS, XBee's,Sonar sensor and Compass via Arduino sketches and Xbee CTU software. Everything works fine.

Need some guide on what is the next move?

1. Connect the motor / esc and calibrate?

2. Any other configuration to do in sketch?

3. What is the difference between Mission Planner and Q Ground Control?

Appreciate for your help.TQ
