Ardupilot Mega IMU Shield/Oilpan Rev-H Gyro Calibration

Hello Fellow DIY'ers,

I have recently bought a ready-to-fly w/ basic electronics Arducopter 3DR Quad for Udrones and am having trouble arming my quad.  I read the wiki for the arducoptor and the autopilot mega to gain an understanding of both.  But, when I power up the copter the A & C LEDs (Gyro Calibration and GPS Lock) keep flashing in the alternation manner and never go solid.  I even took the copter outside to try and allow it to get a GPS lock, but it still failed to obtain a lock and calibrate the gyros.  What can I doing wrong?  Any guidance and pointer would be greatly appreciated.

Well, it looks like I solved my problem.  For some reason I have to arm the copter with no-throttle and full-left yaw.  And disarming is no-throttle and full-right yaw.  Why would my controls be reversed?

Are you getting a GPS lock after you arm it? I am having a similar problem, no GPS lock.

No, I haven't been able to get a GPS lock yet. I'm gonna take it outside this week to see if that cures the proven. I think it should though. I still haven't figured out why my controls are reversed or how to get them back to normal.

David, have you successfully been able to get a GPS lock? I was able to get a lock outside, but it took a long time before it happened.  After the first lock all subsequent locks were relatively quick.

All RC transmitters are different. Some go one way, some the other. Just reverse your rudder (yaw) channel on the transmitter side.
