It will only work within 20 seconds of boot, as safety measure. This is in the manual

When i press 3X ENTER its stuck.

I have tried it with another APM (maybe a broken switch) but its the same.

What board do you have? 1280?

CLI is disabled inside the last arduplane code if you have a 1280 board.

With a 1280 board is there no way to access the setup modes? I'm wanting to reset the EEPROM to apply changes to the APM_config.h file.

There is at least (or used to be) one way, although it may no be the best one. You can load the code yourself for example with the arduino IDE and then re-enable the CLI switch. This worked for me like 2 weeks ago or so. Note that you have to do the usual changes to get the code fit into the 1280. Forum search is your friend.

There may be an easier way through the mission planer but I don't use that so maybe someone else can point that out.

Thanks. I was looking all over the place and realized that that's what I'd have to do since the 1280 doesn't have enough memory. I'm planning to order APM 2.0 so for now I'll just forget about CLI mode since I don't absolutely need it for now.

And yes, APM does most of what CLI allows you to do (other than a few other features) so I'll use that in the mean time.

2.25V works good.

2.26 & 2.27 doesn't.

Is there away to reset the magnetometer (on the MP)?  or it is done automatically.

The magnetometer is automatically calibrated in the air
