The ground station when ran on an aspire one laptop cuts off the lower portion of the program. aspire one and other laptops are ideal ground stations for on field due to their low cost and eas of use. Will there be updates that allow switching of screen resolution with this program?

Yes - This is true Caleb.

If you are proficient with Labview, then you can take the code from the GCS jordi made and you can re-design it to fit your screen. I did this - so it would fit on my netbook, as well I wanted a scrolling window so I could reposition it inside a window at anytime. Ping jordi for the code, and then use your labview to modify and then build a new .exe.
i too would be interested in a " fixed " version for the aspire one but am not able to do the code work my self ,the old dog and new tricks bit :-)
Well I am not proficient with Labview at all. I played around with it for a while today and came up with this. My exe brings up no images but it does not matter much because i dont have the hardware complete to verify that it works at all.

I am pretty good with photoshop and with some reference pictures i drew this. It is a simple two image setup. Labview appears to support .png files so it should be possible to create a very attractive layout.

If anyone who is good at Labview would like to work with me on a project to develop a nice working base station that is compatible with netbook screens let me know.
Tim, some inspiration can be found on the site below, they produce instrument panels and decals for "modellers and aviation fans", great images and examples in categories by age and type of craft.

TimL,
even the Msi ver asks to get/download .net 4 frame work client to be downloaded. I downloaded it. Is that what you meant when you said .net frame work missing... ? I haven't tested the GCS yet.
I downloaded the app to my Dell Laptop with Win 7 (it has .net 4 loaded) and I get a message: Set up requires Internet Information Server 5.1 and Win XP or higher and cannot be installed on Win 2000.

Any ideas what I should do?

Peter
I am on win7 and it don't run.
Earl
The LabVIEW ground station doesn't run for you on Win7? It runs fine on all the Win7 machines I've tried, 64bit and 32 bit.
Ok...So has anyone resized the GS to fit on a Aspire one...Theresolution problem is reallya pain in the A... But i dont have qlue what i'm doing in labview... So please? Could someone please help?
