AttoPilot 90/180A with Pixhawk

Hey!

I'm build an Arducopter X8 with pixhawk and eight MN3110-26 (470Kv) and 15x5 props. The datasheet means, that one motor need max. 12A (with this setup). The max. current of this motor-type will be 15A (another setup). I will fly with two 4s5000 parallel.

I've the original 90 and 180 sensor here. The max. current (with this setup / data from datasheet) will be 96A + LEDs + FlightControl + ... = ~ 98A.

Now I'll be know what I do: Should I use the 180A sensor, or should I use the 90A sensor like this wiring http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-using-a-pixhawk-with-6s-batteries/#Wiring_Case_2_to_measure_up_to_a_maximum_of_150_amps and then for 100A (max. setup data) or 120A (max. motor data)?

Or should I use the 90A currentsensor directly? Could It be destroy the flightcontrol if a current peak comes to 96A? Or I lost only a few seconds logtime then?

Best regards from Germany.

  • I know it's a late reply but I would go with the 180, given you have them both.
