hi i dont know anything about this stuff ive flown rc helicopters but never made my own and was wondering how i would get started and what i would need i want to build a quadcopter can anyone help

Would recommend that you learn to fly first before spending big dollars on a DIY project. I feel that a cheap $40 toy quadcopter can more than pay for itself by preventing the loss of a follow-on hobby grade quad. For those considering this hobby, I highly recommend that you start slow, and learn to fly (and fly well) as your very first objective. After that, then consider stepping up in this hobby. You'll be less likely to damage or lose your quad, and less likely to endanger people.
