Mike, can you add a button on the main display screen to toggle the A9 pin on the APM2 ? That is the camera shutter pin according to the documentation I have read.

I want to use it to activate a FET in a heater circuit that will melt a line tied to a balloon. This would be a cut down for a balloon flight and others could use it to trigger a camera shutter or many other uses.

Maybe a row of buttons for the A0 to A8 pins on the APM2. ???

Thanks, Earl

Maybe another tab next to the Actions Guages Status Telemetry tabs that below would bring up the actions for a0-a9 and a choice of digital or analog usage. Then a row of a0-a9 readouts for the pins. High/Low or analog value or a way to send a high or low to a0-a9 via the telemetry uplink ?

please put in an issue requesdt for an enhancement, as this would require code on the apm side to interface to.

According to the documentation, pin ADC9 is designated for the camera shutter already.
I would be glad to help on this modification to the mission planner.

signal is a digitalWrite(9,ON)

that is the code in apm2

in mp  we need a button that triggers this event in the slow loop.

signal is a digitalWrite(9,OFF)

a button to turn signal off also.

Earl

I think they need to be triggered by a mavlink upload command
