camera gimbal

Can someone please for the life of me tell me how to get camera stab working. I have servos connected to A10 and A11, have ticked stabilize roll and stabilize pitch in camera stabilization settings, but when i arm and tilt the quad, these servos do not move!

Any ideas? Theres really not much info on it.

Thanks!

  • Guys I have everything working pretty well, except on the tilt axis, I am getting excessive servo twitch, so much so that it cannot stabilize.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • Hi all, I try to setting my camera gimball too, and I have two experiences to tell, the first is that graupner servos not work on the APM even connected to the PWM output they make a brownout, and i try with hitec and work perfect (both analog). The second is that I have a plate APM 2.5 with plastic case in which the numbers are printed out and after a little quarrel with my board and already decided my last active neurons have the pins to see if they agreed with the numbers printed, and you know what? no! so reconnect on pins A10 and A11 but counted by hand and everything went perfect! I hope to serve someone else who are dealing with this problem, Greetings! (sorry about my english)

How are you powering your roll and tilt servo's? Do they have a separate supply or are they getting power from the PM/ESC's via the APM? Any brownout issues?

  • So I have now got both axis working. The only issue is it only tilts up but not down. Can i set the limits some how? Cheers

Check that you're definately into 10 & 11 as the markings (on APM2) are offset from the actual pins.

Check: you've set tilt to RC11 and roll to RC10? Servo limits to what's on the pic? Here

Also connect a female to female cable from your Rx to CH6 Input and set the Input Ch to 6 in the MP.

If still not working connect telemetry (or usb) to check that the APM is not browning out.
