Code~Airplne with four channels

Hi, does version 2.6 support RC aircraft's with with four channels. The reason being i will be using the Apprentice 15e RTF. If not how do i modify the code, or even better does anyone have a modified code?
(please excuse my "noob" or "outrageous" questions, please understand that i am still a noob.

No, basic ArduPilot only supports three channels out (it reads four channels in, with the fourth being the mode switch). For more, you'll want ArduPilot Mega, which supports eight channels.

Tom Hastie got a fourth channel working, see his blog post. Not sure if he has integrated it for use in flight yet, but that would be a good place to start.

Also i just bought all the things needed for basic Ardupilot, if i buy the mega, can i hook everything up to it, following everything outlined in the Manuel?

For most 4 channel setups, when used with Ardupilot, the consensus seems to be to connect ch1 (Aileron) ch2 (Elevator) ch3 (Throttle) and ch5 (3 position switch) to the Ardupilot servo in ports as per the manual here. As for the Rudder (ch4), simply bypass the Ardupilot altogether and connect the Rudder servo directly to your Receiver ch4. Hope this helps. By bypass I simmply me don't connect to Ardupilot. Connect Ruddrer directly to your receiver.

but what if i am doing autopilot? does bypassing still allow the rudder to work? sorry for being noob. ^_^

@Darren... The AP will control the other channels but not the 4th... you control that directly with the R/C.

Again, you won't have that issue with Mega, just with the original ArduPilot board.

Nathaniel's example with channel 4 being Rudder was only if you are using ailerons, otherwise Rudder would be controlled by the ArduPilot.
