Com port help

Hi I cant find my board on any com port. Nothing shows up in the device manager or on the mission planner. I have tried to reinstall the mission planner. I think I may have plugged in the board before opening mission planner and got driver failed to install from windows and now cant find the board anywhere.

    Does the apm board light upwhen you plug it in. If it does try another usb cable. I once had a cable that wouldn't work.

      Dude you are a genius. The board was lighting up so I dint think of trying another cable. It worked im a bit embarrassed to say. The simple things are the most overlooked.
