Communication Error - no connection

Hi guys! I have lastest version of mission planner (1.2.70 mav 1.0) and my APM 2.5 hardware and When I try to load firmware, it start to read hex file... and after a few seconds I have this issue: Communication Error - no connection. 

Please any idea? What Im doing wrong?

    Hello everybody,

    It's an old topic but I wanted to mention that removing bluetooth dongle from my desktop PC also resolved "Communication Error - no connection" problem. After that I immediatelly upgraded firmware of the Ardupilot (APM 2.8) via mission planner 1.3.45

    Same as "Franco Marinelli" above .... I ALSO was trying to update my firmware on my copter with Mission Planner, Mavlik Go to tab: "INITIAL SETUP"> "Install firmware"
    It fails at "Reading Hex" stage, with error "Communication Error - no connection, OK?"

    The other Mavlik communication worked just fine, just could't download the copter's firmware

    The answer I found after searching the internet for hours was to remove my external USB bluetooth. It makes no sence, doesn't use a com port, but that SOLVED IT!

    try other usb ports, and you have selected the correct comport.
