comparison stability control from IR sensors and electrical Gyro

comparison stability control from IR sensors and electrical Gyro. which one is easier to use and more cost effective? IMO, IR sensors will not be affected by engine vibrations. So not a problem if we have some vibration caused by UAV engine. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
