Connecting minimosd

Two quick questions is the above picture an acceptable way to power the minimosd? Instead of the battery between the camera and the board it is between the transmitter and the board? I also have a question regarding powering the XBee, I have a separate 5v ubec cable running straight to the xbee because its the older version and I believe it draws a lot of power, is that too ok?

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
