Connecting RC system to the Desktop

Hey guys, I want to connect 7C-2.4GHz Futuba RC system to the desktop, can I do so with the following connector? http://www.amazon.com/USB-Flight-Sim-Module-Cable/dp/B000RO5RKC/ref... and can it be used just like a joystick?

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
