Connecting Teradek to 3-axis Gimal

Has anyone figured out how to configure a Teradek onto a 3-axis gimbal (ZenMuse) to allow full rotation and not just use an hdmi cable that can get snagged?

Would you recommend the Teradek cube 255 or the Teradek Bolt for aerial broadcasting of live events?

Max range - 150m

What type of equipment are you using with your Teradek? i.e., Model, Antennas, Router, Laptop, Software

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin.
You don't seem to have a response to this.
    Still need an answer?
    I have the teradek clip.
    What model are you using?
Without external amplifiers the range on these is fairly restricted imo.
Nice device though and handy on cinema cams where no analog out exists.
I would agree mounting it to the gimbal would make sense where a thin flexible hdmi cable not available. I found some soft cables for little on eBay.
I guess space / antenna position on your bird is the big issue really. To state the obvious, the smaller the gimbal the more the antennas will start to plague you. Under the camera prolly best but motor size, and clearance will need to be considered as well as changing the camera cog.
    • I would recommend building a swivle connection for the HDMI...

Happy to help with a schematic
