Connecting to Mission Planner

I have a question for yous in the group. I am trying to connect my drone to mission planner. I have the UPAIR One. I have opened it up. Connected the Micro USB to Female USB cable. And attached it to out side of the drone. I have the Male to Male USB cable. Which connects to the drone and to the computer. ( I also want to say cables work I connected them to my tablet and hooked to computer. Worked perfectly). Now when i hook the drone to computer it should automatically download the drivers. It doesn't. When I turn on mission planner with drone connected. It doesn't show the drone being connected.

So i go into device manager on my computer. shows the drone connected as a cd / dvd drive mass storage drive. I right click it. Hit scan for problems. It comes up saying, My device (drone) is an older version with a 2.0 USB. My computer has 3.0 USB drives and they are not compatible. I have been on line with Microsoft they said to uninstall the drive and restart the computer with the drone still connected. Didn't work. They said only other thing i could to is contact the drone manufacturer. I sent an email. I looked up phone number to call. I can't find one.

So my question is, does any one have any suggestions I can try?

  • I have the same problem with the same Upair One. It simply will not connect with the mission planner software. My computer has both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connectors and neither type works. Has anyone actually programmed a flight plan and flown it with the Upair One and Mission planner software?

  • USB 3 ports should recognize USB 2 devices. If this is not working, it is a driver issue. The driver may need to be rewritten to repair this error, which is out of your hands. Hopefully there is a software developer watching these threads and they can prioritize this.
