Defective APM 2.0 with built in GPS?

After following the instructions in the ArduCopter Wiki and reading through the forums on the DIY Drones, it appears that I received a defective unit.

The APM 2.0 board functions properly in stabilize mode and alt_hold but is not receiving and information from the built in GPS. When connected through
the mission planner software, is states "No GPS" even though the GPS daughter board led gives a 3d fix indication. (Solid Blue Led).

I am using Mission Planner v.1.2.1 MAVlink 1.0 and Arducopter 2.7.1

In Mission Planner under Terminal Tests in CLI Mode "Altitude" and "Compass" return valid results while the "GPS" command returns G!G!G!G!.G!G!G!G!. etc…

Please advise and help me to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Thank you for your help!!

G! is bad. That's the auto-detect not detecting the GPS. Try pressing and holding the GPS and restarting. It may work. If so it has a bad solder joint. I would just return the board.
