DiY - Mod - Rádio Turnigy 9x + Módulo DragonLink + BackLight

As always I like to modify my equipment and the experience gained in my

Another topic I decided to tune up my Turnigy http://fpvbrasil.com.br/forum/topics/diy-mod-radio-turnigy-9x.

To use the DL I had bought a radio Turnigy to be unique to Fpv well

could change the way you wanted.

I started the desmontanto DragonLink:

For those who never saw the Peladinho Module ...

To loosen the hot glue that holds the module I used a hair dryer (careful not to burn your hands ...)

Open the Turnigy 9x

Make Holes for Support of Antenna.

Cut the cap and Antenna Drill holes for the LED and the Bind button.

Starting this crap ...

A bit of liquid electrical tape ...

Secure the LED and Button.

New Bed for DL

O BackLight - Não vou mostra como instala pois existem milhões de tutoriais na Net.

With the new DL Connectors

Another bit of insulating tape .....

support

Connector Cover

Ready to Close

Close to the check that no cable is holding the Sticks

I cut out of the box and I put my Turnigy 9x and MiniGround FatShark.

Olha o Bodinho...

Now comes the sad story ...

At home most of the test I performed was without the antenna and the dummy load on the DL. When I arrived on the field and went to take the test away I realized that the Quad stopped receiving commands and the LCD was fading. These symptoms only happened with the antenna already stuck with the Phantom Load radio behaved normally.

After getting PU% $% $ $% went home to analyze the problem. I was thinking I had ruined the TX and returned to the same original box and to my delight the problems are over.

So I decided to shield the DL with some aluminum foil which solved the problem of

PPM signal but the LCD still clear even with the original box. To work around this problem I have isolated the motherboard and the Turnigy LCD and Flat Cable with aluminum foil.

was very pleased with the results. After shielding the equipment had no more problems.

Hey Rafael,

what range can you get with the dragonlink and the quad at ground level ?   I need 4kms over hills and forest.

I could never reach the limit of the DL. In my aerial flight usually fly up to 1.5 km distance from that the video starts to fail. I believe this will also be your biggest problem (The video link).
