The ESC WILL WORK! you will need a BEC to get it to work powering APM from ESC side! do not use the power from DJI ESC it will not work for you. Power the APM from the receiver side or use a BEC to power the APM from the ESC side. The DJI ESC has no power coming from the ESC.

Alright it does work!

Now, when I calibrate the sticks in Mission Planner it seems that the Throttle is in reverse - is this normal for Futaba? (I have T10 CHG and R6008HS).

It also happens when I try to manually calibrate ESCs with RC receiver: to be able to put it in calibration mode I need to put the throttle all the way down and go up to select the mode - even when reversing throttle in the transmitter, it doesn't make a difference.

Is it possible that I messed it up? I've been trying to calibrate all ESCs through APM and because I didn't know where is top where bottom I started fiddling around trying everything and was getting strange results (like motors going full on in the middle and decreasing towards the ends).

Is there any way to reset ESCs to factory settings and start over?

well connecting the ESC first middle weir goes to middle tow other weirs determines motor direction goes left & right. then you need to calibrate the ESC first nothing to do with the APM yet. Plug in each ESC into the resever follow the instructions for calibration. do this for each individual ESC.

most ESC are calibrated by leaving the throttle at MAX at power up!

then follow the wiki for APM ESC calabaration.
