DJI OPTO ESC Confusion

I recenlty purchased a DJI 450 with the DJI motors and ESC. I also purchased the APM 2.5 for the controller. It's all built and I have been trying to calibrate the DJI ESCs with no luck. I have tried the automatic calibration as well as the manual with no luck. I have spent a lot of time going through the forums and the most I find is that someone "thinks" they cannot be calibrated. Or they "think" they are already calibrated. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to getting this in the air. Thanks

I've read that they can't be calibrated, however, I've had no trouble running them stock.  I would give that at try if you haven't already.

I do confirm they can't be calibrated. They are already by default.

Contests

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
