I'm looking for help in getting the Dronecell integrated with APM 2.12 so that I can use it for two-way telemetry. I assume the biggest issue is getting the IP address and then setting up a virtual COM port to connect to it... If possible, I'd like to have this done by Friday.

Then you missed the gist of my posts. UDP is a bad choice for bi-directional command and control data. It creates unnecessary complex overhead on a system that already has limited resources. Use the right tool for the task at hand. UDP for uni-directional telem data. TCP for bi-directional command and control.

What is the status of this project, any new news about it?

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
