you can mount LEDs at the motor mounts

there are some outputs on the APM which makes them flash in a defined pattern

Check this out by  Ante Vukorepa, its originaly for the pirates code but I believe its now valid for AC2.

it gives you a front flashing LED and three solids.

the connections are still valid, the flashing behaviour is different ;)

Ah I see, thanks for the response. Looking through the code it looks like they mirror the GPS led at the moment.
