Right now i'm exporting the telemetry data into the log file and looking at it through Excel. Is there a easier way to isolate variables I need? I've seen from old screenshots that there was a GUI in Mission Planner that makes it easier to view the telemetry data.

is this for a log, or a tlog file?

Permalink Reply by Steve on March 26, 2012 at 12:08pm Whichever can give me access to a more easily interpreted log. I just used the Log > KML button and Convert to Text. And then i copy and paste that text into Excel, but I think that log as of now contains too much useless data that is just a jumble of information. The Google Earth file is a nice visual interpretation of the log, but I would really like to be able to plot only the important variables over time.

if you have the latest mission planner you can grpah tlogs as well in the log>kml screen
How about turning log files into a log book format as well.
Take off time, landing time, total power used, distance travelled. All those sort of things.
Stuff that an aviation authority might really like presented to them when asked.
Would be really handy once an airframe is tuned to plug it in and have the log book written automatically ;-)
Gary, do you have a more detailed example?

How/when are .gpx files generated.
Thank you.
they are created from a dataflash log file, when you download them.
