EEPROM reliability?

If I change serial baud to something like 38 or 115 and write parameters with MP sometimes after APM power up the changes have worked and sometimes not. What really is the correct way to change the APM serial 3 baudrate. It feels like it's jumping to 57 all the time by it self? What happens when usb is disconnected/reconnected will the APM always reset it self and turn back to 57 baudrate. This unlogical logic is causing troubles to make the telemetry work. If you once get telemetry work it works quite good, but if you change the baudrate, it takes a lot of parameter writes, erases and resets to get the telemetry working again. I have correct baud in radio telemetry -> 57 I have correct baud in APM serial 3 -> 57. Everytime the link is not working the data looks like this in GCS: 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00..... and when it's working the data looks like this 0xbf N 0xd1 ......

It seems like sometimes the APM knows what to send and somethis it sends nothing.

Is there something I should know when I write parameters to APM?

1. Can it be connected to ESC at the same time as usb is connected?

2. Is there an order to connect the 3rd radio (first round then air)?

3. What could cause this unreliable behaviour of the APM?

4. How to use terminal setup's erase and reset commands, what will they do to the parameters?
